Jackie: A Tale of Perversity and Woe

I was all set and ready to take the laptop to the Apple store to get the keyboard fixed... aaaand I left the laptop at home by accident. By the time I realized it, it was too late; I had to take the next bus or I would be late for work. So I'm stuck with this broken keyboard until Wednesday. Gahhhhhh! *headdesk*

In other news, I saw HBP the other day, and I enjoyed it! I also haven't read the book in a while, so. XD The New Moon trailer played beforehand, and when Jacob came up on the screen all these girls started clapping, hahaha. It was lolarious. At least they were clapping for the right one, anyway.

Okay, so, for some reason I thought it would be cool to write a fic where Nessie is totally awesome, but not in the OMGPERFECTANGELLLL way that Breaking Dawn painted her to be, and where she and Jacob are not a romantic item and are instead just very close friends (because seriously, having sex with someone who pretty much raised you? GROSS. Westermarck effect, anyone?). And I've started it, even though there are like a million other things I should be writing instead.

Problem is, I uh. Never actually finished Breaking Dawn. Hell, I didn't even get to the infamous birth scene. I know everything that happens, thanks to cleolinda's awesome summaries, but I'm still probably going to need a beta to make sure I didn't fuck anything up with the canon. Anyone here who's read BD that'll be willing to do this for me? I don't know when I'll be done, though (hell, I might never even finish it; it's only a page so far), so you should probably keep that in mind before offering over your services.

1. Favorite pairing of all time?
Oh, God. This is a hard one. My favorite ships are constantly changing! But... I guess I'm going to have to go with Jane/Rochester. I could never, ever hate that ship in a million years, or ever get tired of it. They are just so fucking AWESOME and perfect together.

2. If you could only watch one film the rest of your life, which would it be?
Hmm, this is a tough one too. I want to pick one of my favorite comedies, but after a while it would probably get old (this is why I haven't watched my favorite movie ever, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, in over a year), so... ah, screw it, I'm gonna go with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. It's not exactly the height of cinema, but it's damn good entertainment.

3. If you had the option to get it on with only ONE fictional character, who would it be?
Tony Stark. No question.

4. Something you spend waaay too much money on.
Movies! And music, too. It comes with working at a music/dvd store, haha. At least I get a discount.

5. Food you could never, ever get tired of.
French fries. I could seriously NEVER get sick of them. Ever.

In other news, I have spent almost all day following the spoiler wank. It's... it's like a trainwreck! I CAN'T LOOK AWAY, OKAY! :( I'll shut up about it now, though, seriously. At least until the book actually comes out.

So, there's been a recent uproar about a so-called spoiler for the epilogue of Breaking Dawn.

Okay. Now to finish that one Twilight fic. And start on that Aro/Carlisle fic because evil people give me ideas.

I've had "Bowie" stuck in my head ALL. FREAKING. DAY. Not that this is a bad thing, but still. ALL. DAY.

Still going on that stupid camp trip. Ugh. But I'm freaking out less about it now, because they might push back the deadline for the first draft of the Senior Highlights video to the Tuesday after I come back. So, that's gonna be settled, hopefully. I just gotta figure out how to do all of those nifty special effects before I leave so I can edit it all more easily... Tomorrow and Wednesday we're supposed to get a lot of filming done, so that's good. Hopefully everything goes well. *crosses fingers*

Also, I'm quite pleased with how my Mike/Edward fic turned out! It's nice feeling proud of a fic for once... but this pairing is now eating my brain and I'm planning on writing this big, sweeping Mike/Edward epic. It's an AU where Bella never shows up at Forks. I've decided to write it all out first, like write it with pen and paper, and then post it when it's all done. \o/ FUN TIMES.

Apparently we're not moving to Arizona in July -- my mom said it is highly unlikely to happen and my dad was just talking out of his ass, and anyway they can't leave until after September 2nd because there's this concert she really wants to see in Walla Walla (which totally made me LOL and remember the town from the book The Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, which is a FANTASTIC YA novel, btw). So, moot point, hopefully. Yay!
