Jackie: A Tale of Perversity and Woe

Changed my layout just now! Whaddaya think? I'm probably going to change the header at some point but this'll do for the present. I figured it was time for a change; I've been using the same layout for nearly half a year now, I think. And it's pink! Because pink is actually my favorite color. Ssssh, don't tell anybody.

In other news, tomorrow is gonna be a busy day. Me and Rob are going to free comic book day at our local comic book store, and then it's off to New York to go see Jane Eyre and buy my mom a Mother's Day present. The original plan was to go to the mall and then Montclair, but the stupid theater there isn't playing Jane Eyre anymore (even though they were just a couple days ago, so WTF on that one). So now it's only playing in New York. And I have to see it. I. Have. To. And Rob is sweet and made someone cover his shift at work so he could come with me. *studio audience goes AWWWWWWWWWW*

So, I got my period yesterday. Good news. My sudden uncontrollable anger was for a reason!

I forgot to mention this, but when I hung out with Brittany and Tanaya on Sunday, I told Brittany that I was writing a script for Friends Like Enemies, and we talked and she might be doing it for her thesis project senior year. So, fingers crossed! If it actually gets made into a movie, that would only be, like, the COOLEST THING EVER.

I just have to, um. Start writing it. *sheepish look*

Oh, and I wound up changing the header for my journal after all. The Polaroid thing was a little too hipster. Instead I replaced it with the awesomeness of Peggy Olson. I'm kind of irritated that the colors are way less muted than they were in GIMP, but it's probably the way I saved it or whatever. Oh well.

I was looking through the NYU website (because I'm just masochistic like that, I guess), when I saw there was a six week intensive summer course to get an Editing Certificate™. Man, I've been hoping to find something like this for ages! Unfortunately, it is also over $5,000. But I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see if I can get any financial aid. Hell, another $5,000 on top of the $50,000 I already owe won't make that much of a difference. Especially if you factor in that this course would actually, you know, help me and shit.

It's so weird not having any hair on my neck. I don't think it's ever been quite that short before. Plus now it's going to be a major bitch to style so it doesn't look completely stupid and weird, because my hair likes to flip in tufts on one side of my head but not the other, and I hate styling my hair anyways... oh well, whatevs, it looks awesome so idc.

Anyway, I got a call back from Target today -- only they called me at 8:50 in the morning, so I was sleeping and didn't get it. I called back but the person who called me was apparently on a break, and she never called me back. I'll try again tomorrow, I guess. BUT I MIGHT GET THE JOB GUYS YAAAAAAAAY! :DDDD

I went over to Andrea's dorm today and we watched the Strangerhood, then she went to mine and we watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail because the poor soul had not seen it yet. I had a good time. I'm also glad I do not live in the George Washington dorms!

So, I'm gonna post the pictures from Grad Night and pics of my new hair-cut in a minute, but first some devastating news:

MY CAMERA IS BROKEN.

Well, the camera itself isn't broken -- it still takes pictures -- but the screen is kind of destroyed, and it's pretty difficult to take pictures without a screen. So... that's not cool. Hopefully it's a year-long warranty. :/

In other news, I saw the Hulk today -- excellent stuff! I went by myself, but it was still fun regardless. And I finally bought Lolita. Can't wait to FINALLY read the damn thing!

Why do I keep getting these headaches? And they all happen at around the same time, too. And my eye's started twitching again (granted, it was happening more a couple weeks ago, but still). WTF.

...Maybe I shouldn't be listening to the Revenge playlist Anna made for me when my forehead feels like it's going to split open.

Anyway, I just saw this play Shore Points at 12 Miles West (the theatre in my town), because I had to, for my play anaylsis paper for Drama class. Quite excellent, it was. Very funny, yet tragic at the same time. Always a good blend. ^_^
