Happy New Year, everybody! I had an excellent New Year's Eve with my friends, and I'm glad I actually got to talk to and have fun with people besides Rob and co-workers. We had a blast. I've missed everyone a lot. Also, the first New Year I've been able to buy and consume alcohol! HUZZAH! I didn't get drunk but I did maintain a decent buzz throughout the evening, thanks to drinking games and Bonner and her friends bringing absinthe later during the night, after the others had left.

Anyway, since I do this every year, first sentence meme!

I was so pessimistic at this time a year ago, but 2011 was really great, despite continuing money woes. I fell in love, I went to concerts, I vacationed at the beach, I turned 21 and discovered the joys of wine. There was the Boardwalk Empire fandom, and the time I got drunk on Tumblr... I had fun, for most of it. I wouldn't change a thing.
