The subject line will not be news to anyone who has ever lived there, but for those of you that are unaware of this... now you know.

I hung out with Astrid in Bloomfield today, and as we wandered about in search of food and things to do, 69% of our conversation consisted of how fucking boring Bloomfield is and how much we want to get back to our respective cities (hers Philadelphia, mine New York). Seriously, the place is a hell hole. I'm sure there are worse towns out there, but Bloomfield is still pretty fucking bad. You can feel the life being sucked out of you as you meander aimlessly down the suburban streets, gazing at the sad little shops and the sad little houses and the sad little people doing their sad little things. Goddamn.

But other than that I had fun. Astrid is awesome. \o/

I have a massive headache today. And a slightly stuffy nose. Bah.

Went to my old high school today to fill out the form to shoot my short film there next week. I wrote the address of the school instead of my actual address by accident, but hopefully their answer still manages to find its way to me somehow. Hung out with Gabby as well today, so that was fun. But dear God, that town is a fucking wasteland. Thank God I don't live there anymore.

I'm scared of my recent obsession with Rorschach. I fear I am turning into One Of Those. I wish I liked a character it wasn't so cliche to like. And I don't mean "like" as in "OMG Rorschach is so bad-asssss and is like t0tally a hero omg so cool!", but "like" as in "Wow, what a psychologically interesting character and his movie incarnation makes me feel all *~tingly~*".

Today was the first day I've gone straight to Place 2 in New Jersey from New York (in the past I went to Place 1, and last week I came into NJ with Bonner), and... I got on the wrong train. XD You see, I took the subway because I thought it was going to rain (and it didn't; it was all done by the time I left), but the Internet lied to me about my transfer. There was no way I could've made that transfer at Times Square, and my life would have been infinitely easier if I had just gotten out at 34th Street. So, I missed the transfer and had to run to Penn Station, and had little time to second-guess what train I was supposed to go on so I just hopped onto a familiar platform. But, that was not the train to Place 2, it was the train to Place 1, and I had to call my mom to come pick me up there instead, which was quite a ways away from Place 2. My mom's friend, coincidentally, was picking up her husband at that station while I was waiting so I went back with her to her house and me and my mom hung out there for a while.

Well, I was bound to get on the wrong train sooner or later, wasn't I? XD I'll tell you, though, I'm never going to cheat and get the children's ticket again after that stern talking-to the conductor gave me. Geez. I might have to go home every other weekend now instead, since it's a little too expensive to go back to NJ every weekend with the adult prices...

The musical I saw with Bonner on Friday -- Midnight Madness -- was... I mean, you can't hate it, but you can't really like it, either. The premise is that it's loosely based around Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, only set in modern times in New York, and with the addition of a Democrat marrying the Republican mayor that she had previously been running against. It's trying really hard to be pro-feminist but instead it winds up being pretty anti-feminist, not to mention the storyline is all over the place and parts of it Just Don't Make Sense (like prominent public figures talking about their private lives in front of reporters). The lyrics are pretty trite at times, too, and one of the last songs was... no. Just no. But the music, which was written by Bonner's old chorus teacher, was good. And it was very funny at parts -- you can never go wrong with a man in a dress, after all.

Then I went back to NJ with Bonner and slept over, and we went to the Harvest Festival today, where I ran into Jason, Casey, and Dan. That was fun -- I've sort of missed having guy friends. And I like that even though me and Jason used to go out we can still be friends and everything. But Bonner left her stuff behind and her parents kinda flipped out on her. You don't want to get her parents mad. Ever. Especially her dad. They didn't get as mad as Bonner was dreading they would, though.

But I totally love how the Harvest Fest is, like, the biggest thing that happens in that town. It's so horribly boring. The best thing about it is you can buy fried Oreos and stock up on Inca Kola, which they didn't even have this year. Oh, Bloomfield, never change.

Back at my parents' house now. Very tired. *yawn*

I got back from visiting my parents in New Jersey a little while ago. They've just moved and they don't have the Internet yet. The first night I had to sleep on an air mattress, then the couch, and the last night in my own bed. It's the exact same bed I had back in Washington too, so that was nice. I wish I could stay there, I really do... but it'd be almost impossible to commute that much, especially on Thursdays when I have class at 9 AM, and also have time for a job. My mom said that if she was allowed to she would hire me to work for her on the weekends... but she can't, because it's nepotism and all, even though she would NOT let me off easy, ever. Sigh. I'm gonna apply to a couple more places today -- Best Buy and Bath & Body Works. I think someone may have called me back yesterday while I was at the movies, but I have no way to know because every single missed call in my phone comes up as Unknown, even if the person is in my phone book, and I can't call them back. And I can't set up my voicemail, either. Hopefully they call back, whoever they were.

Anyway, the season finale of Psych was awesome, especially the Shawn/Lassiter moment that was made of awesomesauce. Spoilers. )

Thank God.

I am safely tucked away in New Jersey, away from my suitemates who continued to party past 4 AM last night. Luckily I managed to get to sleep, though, so all is well. Plus they were all still asleep when I left at noon, so I didn't have to deal with them today. I still have a cold, though... but it's mostly just a headache, so it's not too bad.

Anyway, commuting wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I thought I would get hopelessly lost but I didn't. I'm, like, totally cool. Word.

I'll be adding a meme once [livejournal.com profile] split_kegan gets back to me, so *~stay tuned~*.

ETA: Comment and I'll give you a letter. Then you have to list ten things you love that begin with that letter. Post this in your journal and give out some letters.

Something I've learned about myself: it is impossible for me to sleep on a plane. Not only can I not sleep sitting up, I can't sleep with my shoes on, and thus I have not really slept for quite a while. I had a sort of half-nap, but it wasn't even one of those bizarre half-asleep states I sometimes get in, where there are random strings of words and really psychedelic lava lamp type of things.

So, in other words, I am QUITE tired.

I had my coveted cup of Dunkin' Donuts coffee (YAY), only to be a little disappointed. It was done a bit hastily, I think. But it's still better than Starbucks, so :p.

Later on I'm hanging out with Bonner and Sophie. It sucks that I don't get to spend any time with my other friends, since I'm only in town for one day. I have to move into my dorm tomorrow. AH. D: But I'm being postive about this now, guys, honest! It's all gonna be awesome. NEW YORK CITY. YES.

Okay, I'll stop my insane, sleep-deprived ramblings and leave you to your business. GOOD DAY, COMRADES.

God, it really is so fantastic to see everyone again. Bonner threw a party for me last night - well, our dorky definition of a party, which is a whole bunch of us sitting around and talking and making fun of people. We also played The Game of Life. Me and [livejournal.com profile] lazydaisy501 were partners. We robbed the bank twice. We just... took the money.XD Our team was called "Fun With Sophie and Jackie". That game is such bullshit, though. What if I don't WANT a house? Huh? I guess it's so everyone winds up in debt and it's more fair that way. But still. Not Cool.

Also went and saw Juno again today with Bonner and Sophie, and tomorrow I'm hanging out at Sophie's house. Then Tuesday is my last day here. ;;;;_;;;; I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE. EVEN IF NEW JERSEY IS UGLY.

Oh, I've also gotten Bonner into FotC. HA HA. YES. And Astrid, too. Word.

Also! The reason there was no Picspam Friday is because of the lack of wireless internet also. Once I get back I'll post the pictures I took. And don't expect any fics for another week, at least. I'm apparently taking an unexpected!mini!hiatus. Probably. Don't hold me to it.

(man, I sound really, like, stupid and stuff, don't I? Really young or something. And hyper. *ashamed*)

I'm visiting here for five days, and I'm staying at a friend's house, and she doesn't have wireless internet so I have to use their home computer, so if my comments, etc are late, or if I miss an entry of yours, sorry!

Y'know, it's kinda like I never left, really. Everyone is exactly the same, lol! I stayed at the Cats rehearsal (yes, they're doing Cats wtf) for freakin' FIVE HOURS yesterday (like, I sat in the same spot for five hours), so yeah, that was boring interesting. And, yeah, it's just really cool seeing everyone again. Bonner's throwing a party for me today at 4:30, so, RL peeps, if you're reading this, COME TO THE DAMN PARTY.

IN OTHER NEWS... I had this odd dream last night. I was staying at [livejournal.com profile] freetheelves2's house for some reason, and it seemed like she wanted to tell me something really important in private, but her sister kept bugging us, and then it suddenly switched to me talking to Bonner about something, and then I woke up.
