The musical I saw with Bonner on Friday -- Midnight Madness -- was... I mean, you can't hate it, but you can't really like it, either. The premise is that it's loosely based around Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, only set in modern times in New York, and with the addition of a Democrat marrying the Republican mayor that she had previously been running against. It's trying really hard to be pro-feminist but instead it winds up being pretty anti-feminist, not to mention the storyline is all over the place and parts of it Just Don't Make Sense (like prominent public figures talking about their private lives in front of reporters). The lyrics are pretty trite at times, too, and one of the last songs was... no. Just no. But the music, which was written by Bonner's old chorus teacher, was good. And it was very funny at parts -- you can never go wrong with a man in a dress, after all.

Then I went back to NJ with Bonner and slept over, and we went to the Harvest Festival today, where I ran into Jason, Casey, and Dan. That was fun -- I've sort of missed having guy friends. And I like that even though me and Jason used to go out we can still be friends and everything. But Bonner left her stuff behind and her parents kinda flipped out on her. You don't want to get her parents mad. Ever. Especially her dad. They didn't get as mad as Bonner was dreading they would, though.

But I totally love how the Harvest Fest is, like, the biggest thing that happens in that town. It's so horribly boring. The best thing about it is you can buy fried Oreos and stock up on Inca Kola, which they didn't even have this year. Oh, Bloomfield, never change.

Back at my parents' house now. Very tired. *yawn*
