Jackie: A Tale of Perversity and Woe

In my quest to find a career that I would not necessarily need a degree for, advertising came to mind. I guess I've been watching too much Mad Men. Anyway, I started researching it online today, and took this really interesting test for something called "Diagonal Thinking". People who are diagonal thinkers are able to think both laterally and linearly -- that is, both creatively and logically. These are the kind of people who most thrive at jobs like advertising and marketing. It's one of the most thorough and intensive quizzes I've ever taken on the Internet. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm not really suited for a career in advertising (big surprise!), but the quiz is worth taking whether you'd want to go into the field or not. It's a good way to kill about an hour or so, anyway.

Diagonal Thinking Test
For the record, I got average at linear thinking and below average in lateral thinking, which is the opposite of what I was expecting, so I was surprised by that. I guess I'm not much of a creative thinker! What did you get?

So, I just got back from shopping for shoes and crap for the prom, and I took pictures of myself in my outfit. I was gonna get my hair cut today, but then I didn't.

But anyway, thanks to minisinoo I was made aware of this quiz: Sex I.D. -- Find Out How Your Mind Works!, which is basically a test to see whether your brain is more male or female. I got exactly in the middle -- perfect androgeny! And it was further proven today at the store:

Mom: Do you want any new make-up?

Me: Nah. I got enough.

Mom: O RLY?

Me: Yeah. I got, like, that powder-y stuff, and that lip gloss thing... what else do I need?

Mom: *facepalm*

Me: What?

Anyway, the test is quite fun and you should take it! Although, if you're not a native English speaker, you might be at a disadvantage during the word association part, so you should probably just do that part in your native language. And also, if you're from the U.S., because it's from BBC, one part is in metrics so you'll have to convert from inches to millimeters (here).
