Okay, let's see if I can remember at least half of the details.
So yesterday was the Interpol concert at Radio City, and it was so awesome. I wound up getting there wayyyy earlier than I had to, so I was just wandering around the entire building for an hour while I waited for Sophie and Anna, but it was so worth it. I had spent the day walking around the city so I was kind of tired, but WHATEVER WHATEVER IT'S INTERPOL.
We were sitting in the first row of the second mezzanine, so we had a good view but couldn't, you know, see them that well, but that's all right because I'm one of those people who usually doesn't give a shit about the actual members of the band because I just like the music. Yeah.
First of all, THE LIGHTING WAS SPECTACULAR. I would've tried to get pictures but they wouldn't have looked even nearly as good as the real thing. The one in particular that stands out in my head was the first encore song, "The Lighthouse", where they had a single spotlight, and the smoke, and it was all beige and vnbriohbio4hrbio4hb SO GREAT SOOOOO GREAT. I kept forgetting the song titles I was so excited.
SONGS THEY PLAYED (not in order because I forget)
Success
PDA
Slow Hands (...encore, I think? um)
Barricade
Rest My Chemistry
Stella Was A Diver and She Was Always Down
NYC ("This song is dedicated to this audience.")
The Heinrich Maneuver
Hands Away
The New
Memory Serves
Summer Well
Narc
The Lighthouse (encore)
Not Even Jail (encore)
There might be a few more I'm forgetting. BUT YEAH, IT WAS FUCKING FANTASTIC. And if you've never been to Radio City, when you get a drink they'll put like this little blue light thing in it so when everyone who has a drink is in their seats, in the dark, it looks really cool. So Paul, after one of the songs, was like "What's with the blue lights? That's a cool effect..."
AND ALSO I glanced behind our row once and there was this square-looking middle aged dude just dancing his ass off. It was fucking hilarious.
HOORAY!!!!!!
