tju_tju_tju_tjuSo, I just got back from the SubPop Records 20th Anniversary Concert Thing, and AAAAAAHHHHHH YOU GUYS FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS OH MY GOD. Iron and Wine was fucking awesome as well, but dudes. The crowd for FOTC was so huge, and I was very annoyed because I am ridiculously short and it was practically impossible trying to see past anyone with how close I was to the stage originally. I ended up having to go to the back. This is why the pictures are lousy.
Anyway, it was epicness. Jemaine was just on a roll with the jokes. At one point some guy threw his UNDERWEAR at them. It was hilarious.
JEMAINE: Well, this is a first for us, isn't it? Oh -- these are warm.
(CROWD LAUGHS)
JEMAINE: They're warm. How did some guy standing in the middle of the crowd manage to get these off?
(CROWD LAUGHS HARDER)
JEMAINE: And I'm touching them. Okay. (I think he set it down next to Bret but I'm not sure) People in the audience... you better watch out. There is a man going commando amongst you. A commando-man in our midst!
(after playing "Prince of Parties")
JEMAINE: Yeah, we heard about how drugs can make you write better songs.
BRET: But we didn't want to take drugs. So we just hung upside down.
(CROWD LAUGHS)
JEMAINE: We also tried hugs, like you know, "Hugs, Not Drugs". I think that might have contributed a bit. We hugged a lot. There was some pretty heavy hugging going on. We got them from our hug supplier.

(after some stupid fangirls kept screaming "Bret, you got it goin' ON!"
JEMAINE: Hey, I think you're leaving someone out, there.

(as someone was being dragged away by security)
JEMAINE: Oh, I see they're taking him out to execute him. [some other stuff I can't quite remember] Oh, what's that? (makes gun-shot noise) Ah, you see, they've done it. Let that be a warning to the rest of you.

Also, Todd Barry came in for the last song ("Business Time") and played the bongos. WIN.
And now, for some pictures and video! I didn't get any video of FOTC because my battery was running low, but I got some of Iron and Wine. The audio is pretty crappy, though.

I hate people. Getting in the way of my pictures! How could they.
