And it isn't me this time!
So, today was Mother's Day, obviously (and hope you all had a nice one!). Originally I was just planning on making a post about how fucking swamped it was at work and how I was all alone and we practically ran out of cakes.
But no. Something else has happened. To Rob, of course. He's always the one with the work drama...
You guys remember Adam, right? Him and Rob had that whole feud a year ago? (yes, remember that this was A WHOLE YEAR AGO) Well, a couple months back, Rob was having Issues with the new seafood manager, so they switched him to Dairy, and Adam back to seafood. Then that manager got transferred so they brought Rob back and put Adam back in dairy again. Now Adam only works in seafood on Wednesdays.
The new seafood manager arrived last week, and Rob worked with him every morning because the new guy wasn't actually supposed to start working yet but they brought him in anyway? IDK. But now Rob's working nights again. So he's working, you know, doing his thing, and Adam comes on over and accuses Rob of talking about him behind his back to the new manager -- which he didn't do. Like, at all. So Rob tells him he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about (because he doesn't, because it didn't even happen in the first place). And Adam keeps on ranting about how Rob was a scumbag and was talking shit and blah blah blah...
And then -- this is the kicker -- he informs Rob that, the previous week, he had pissed in his soda.
Yes. You read that correctly. Adam PISSED IN ROB'S SODA.
Now, whether he actually did this or whether he just said it to piss Rob off is still unclear, but what's also unclear is WHY HE THOUGHT ROB WOULD NOT IMMEDIATELY TELL A MANAGER ABOUT THIS. Because he did. As soon as Adam walked away, he called one of the assistant managers and told him what Adam said. And he's going to follow up on it tomorrow with the rest of the managers and our store's union representative. And he's going to threaten to quit if Adam isn't fired. And knowing this stupid company who won't even fire someone for cursing and abusing customers and fellow employees (the seafood manager Rob had problems with)? It's completely likely he'll just be suspended for a few days and that'll be it.
And if that happens? I AM GOING TO FLIP MY SHIT.
In what fucking universe is it an appropriate reaction to PISS IN SOMEONE'S DRINK after some imagined slight against you??? HOW IS THAT A NORMAL, RATIONAL RESPONSE TO ANYTHING? And I just know they'll be like "OH WELL WE CAN'T PROVE HE DID IT LOLOLOLOL". Which isn't even the point! Even if he didn't do it, he still said it, and that's threatening and it's harassment and is not fucking okay. This isn't some stupid argument about how many hours you're getting or whatever, this is someone CLAIMING TO HAVE URINATED IN YOUR DRINK. It is psychotic.
