Woman: Hi! I'd like a pack of *cigarette brand*.

Me: Sure! I just need to see your ID.

Woman: Wow, really?

Me: Yeah, we need to check anyone who looks under 40.

Woman: Huh! All right. *hands over her ID*

Me: *looks it over, then inputs the date into the register*

Woman: I can't believe you had to card me!

Me: Yeah, well, we just try to be careful.

Woman: You know what I really hate, though? *leans in closer and whispers* When those foreigners try to card you.

Me: *oh no* ...Um... well... they're just doing their job, I guess?

Woman: Yeah, true. But there's this one place -- it's down the street -- run by this brown fellow, and he hates Jews!

Me: Really?

Woman: My best friend's a Jew! He told her he doesn't "serve her kind"!

Me: Ugh, that is so messed up!

Woman: Yeah, I wanted to tell him to just go back to Iraq or wherever the hell it is he came from! Bye! *leaves*
