Financial Problems

My mom wasn't approved as a co-signer for my loan for next year.

If I can't get my grandmother to sign my loan by May 1st I'm not gonna be able to go to SVA next year. Or any college, for that matter, since no college is gonna be inexpensive enough to pay for without a loan.

I don't know what I'm going to do.

Reason #83004620846 why I hate the US educational system. The tuition fees are absolutely ridiculous to begin with and then they screw you over every time you try to get support for them. Here in the UK there's a cap on the cost of tuition so that even if you go to Cambridge you pay only 3,225 pounds a year. Which at the moment is around $5,000. Of course, this is for home students, so if you're not from the EU, like me, you get screwed with higher fees, but even those can be cheaper than in the US.

Wow, that sounds like a much better system! The fees here really are so ridiculous, especially since you pretty much have to go to college in America. It's become a pre-requisite at this point. They should have tuition caps here... it'll never happen, though.

It is, though the classes themselves are a different issue. Way too many essays in my opinion. But US tuition prices are beyond ridiculous. One of the reasons why I didn't want to do my masters there (or finish the BA for that matter; before I'd been in a community college) was because of the prices. And that pesky standardized test, whatever it's called.

Yeah, the SATs are complete bullshit anyway. Most standardized tests are, though.

I almost didn't come to London because I kept thinking that I couldn't afford it, but then I thought, "the hell with it". But I do try not to think about what I spend of food. Because it's scary.

I got a 430 on the math portion of the SAT. Combined with the much better English section, the score looked okay, but no way was I going to do it again for graduate school. I don't even remember how to cross multiply.
