I've spent the past three hours packing stuff, and feel quite lucky that my parents have decided to move back to New Jersey, otherwise I would not see a LOT of my stuff again for a very long time. Now, if I need to read my copy of Naked Lunch, I don't have to wait a week or more for my parents to send it to me or buy a new one; I can just go and get it myself. Party, bonus.

Although, my room now looks disturbingly bare. And I am reminded that, in a mere two weeks, I am going to be living on my own in New York City, and I am slowly beginning to panic.

I only packed because my dad is a huge fan of getting stuff done, like, way earlier than you have to. XD Especially since I'm leaving before they are. When do you have to leave?

Yeah, we gotta MSN each other when our days to leave are really close and freak out together. XD

Join the club. I expect to be panicking myself pretty soon before going to London. It'll be the first time I've ever been away from family. I keep telling myself that this is a good thing because I'll finally learn how to fend for myself without someone else to lean on (and I really do want that), but it's still more than a little bit scary.

But hey! Fab new city just waiting to be devoured explored. That's definitely a good thing.

Yep, I'm in the exact same boat as you! It's gonna be good to learn how to function and live without depending on others, totally. Of course, my parents are still going to be close by since they're moving back to NJ, but I'm not going to be living with them anymore.

Yeah, I'm really excited. The school I'm going to is horribly expensive and I'm going to be in SO MUCH debt, but I think it'll be worth it. NYC is just the best -- whenever I'm there it just feels like I'm home, y'know?
