I'm kinda gearing myself up for doing a second draft of Friends Like Enemies, and guess how I'm doing it?

By making playlists for the four main characters, of course.

Not mixes, mind you. Playlists. Songs the characters would like (that I would be able to stand listening to, anyway -- Bruce likes a lot of rap, and Matt kinda likes screamo, and Mitch secretly likes James Blunt but he would never tell anyone). I feel kind of insane, but whatever. These characters were, like, my entire LIFE while I was writing this thing. I gotta get back into that mindset! At least a little.

I might make a combined mix later, though. With, like, three songs or four songs for each of them. Just to give you guys some free music. :p

ETA: Somehow this whole playlist thing is making me feel too much like Stephenie Meyer. I can't even enjoy geeking out over my own characters anymore! ;_;

XD Glad to know there's someone out there as dorky as I! And you can never be too harsh on Smeyer. The Twilight series is self-indulgent fanfiction, nothing more.

I feel really really bad that I agree completely with this, because my besties are ALL ABOUT TWILIGHT MMMKAY, and I'm like, well, yeah, I mean, they're not really well-written, but the first one was intriguing enough to have me read the second and once I begin a series I usually finish them because, well, I don't like NOT finishing them, but honestly? I really, really don't like how Mary-Sue adn Gary-Stu some of these people are, and the only reason I am staying is for Alice, because I think she MIGHT be salvageable. MAYBE.

See, I could take this series for what it is -- metaphorical masturbating fantasy -- but the way people just go on and ONNNN about how "amazing" they are it makes me hate them and want to hit the people who say this. ESPECIALLY after the failgasm of Breaking Dawn. And don't feel bad about not having the same opinion as your best friends -- clearly you have better taste anyway, lol. ;)
