I got a 4 on both of my AP exams (English and U.S. Government). Hurray! I was expecting it to be much worse than that, especially for the Government one, ahaha.

And thus, everything about my high school career is officially OVER.

But, in the bad news department, I don't have enough money from loans to get a dorm. Er. O_o That could be a bit problematic... ugh, stupid loan company; I said I was getting a dorm, didn't I?! Jesus. What if I don't get another loan in time? I'm not going to have anywhere to live! I don't even know which dorm they've given me yet, so I can't fill out a loan request until I figure out how much I'm gonna wind up paying. And I sent them the damn lifestyle questionnaire a month ago! Aaaarrggh!

ETA: And what the hell is this $7,173 I owe?! Shouldn't my loan cover that? Never mind; it said -$7,173, and it's the difference between the loan and the tuition and stuff. But still. I can't afford this shit; unlike SOME people, my parents aren't rich and can't pay for anything. I might have to withdraw admission from this fucking place if this keeps up. And don't ANYONE mention scholarships; I've had that conversation a million fucking times, so just no one mention it.

God, I'm gonna turn out exactly like my parents. A whole bunch of wasted potential, spending my days in soul-sucking retail.

YOU KNOW WHAT. FUCK YOUR FUCKING SCHOOL. IF YOU END UP WITHDRAWING ADMISSION OR ONLY GOING FOR A YEAR OR WHATEVER, I WILL DROP OUT TOO. Then we can be losers living in a trailer and working retail together. We could be like Shawn and Gus. Except we'll both be Shawn. AND HAVE, LIKE, A MILLION DIFFERENT JOBS AND BE TOTALLY AWESOMESAUCE.

I was the same way, trapped in soul sucking retail and everything. Two years before college my dad lost his job. Needless to say the money we'd been saving for my college went bye bye. When I enrolled in school my house was in foreclosure. But I took out loan after loan and, I may be $70,000 in debt, but at least I have my motherfucking degree. Have you looked at Sallie Mae loans? They have a really great low interest loan program for students that saved my ass a number of times.

Don't worry - there's a always a way to make things work out. You should also try calling Financial Aid at the school - sometimes they have leftover money from kids who drop out or enroll elsewhere - that they can allocate at will. Maybe they can help. Good luck!

Oh, ouch. That really, really sucks... I'm glad it all worked out, though. And yep, the loan I have now is a Sallie Mae one -- the loan I asked for was enough to cover my expenses and whatnot, but the school was all "Nope, you only get just enough for tuition and a tiny bit left over" and changed it from $40,000 to $20,000. I hate this place. They barely gave me any financial aid, either. Grrr. I'm glad to hear SM has a great interest program, though.

I sent them an e-mail earlier, so hopefully they can help me with this. Thank you for the advice! ♥

Neither my brothers nor I went to college, is very expensive, get good grades. I really did not want to go.

I know; it's just so ridiculous. I don't really want to go either, especially since my chosen field doesn't actually recquire any school at all, but I just don't know where to BEGIN. Thus, college. :/
