FUCK MY LIFE

So, my foot is sprained, I'm pretty sure, and I'm supposed to rest it and constantly ice it or whatever and not walk but I can't avoid walking for the next two days because I have to go to work and I have to walk there. If I was getting a ride there and back both days it wouldn't be such a big deal but it's a ten to fifteen minute walk there and back and I don't think I can do it again. It's been hurting since the concert on Thursday and I'm really worried I've done a lot of damage to it over the past few days as I thought it was just, like, sore or something and it would get better but it hasn't. I iced it tonight and it's elevated on a pillow right now and it feels fine, but it didn't hurt when I was sitting before anyway.

This is just fucking great. Like I need this shit right now. I can't afford to miss any work, and my FUCKING TAX REFUND IS STILL NOT HERE when I need it to pay my student loans again until I can find a second job, which I may not be able to do now because I told work I was available any time and now they are scheduling for mornings, afternoons, and nights, and it is impossible finding out my schedule far enough in advance to tell any second job that I may have.

WHAT DID I DO, UNIVERSE? HUH?

eta: Screw it, unless my foot is magically cured tomorrow morning, I'm calling in sick tomorrow. It's only a four hour shift anyway.

And there's no weird swelling or anything, so that's good, I guess. My foot looks totally normal. It just hurts when I walk.

Vis-a-vis getting a second job - ask the bakery job if there is any way you can get a set schedule, perhaps the busiest times every day or whatever they need, and explain you're trying to get a second job. Or even ask them if there's any way you could up your hours there. If that's a no-go, ask for a set schedule to help you get a second job. If they don't even do THAT, which sucks, maybe tell them you have to have weekends off and get a 2nd job just on weekends. I don't know, I'm sure they'll try to work with you if you talk to them. I'm sure they'd understand.

I reeeeally hope your foot gets better soon! D: That sucks, that you have to walk to and from work and everything. =/ <3 I hope it magically heals itself pronto. :D

Getting a set schedule is probably not going to happen, because I'm part-time and part-time is not guaranteed a set schedule. And Jamie did give me more hours this week (well, it would've been more if I had gone today!), but she probably won't be able to give me tons more since the company has been cutting hours across the board. Weekends are out, too. Of course, another problem is finding a job that is close enough that will actually hire me despite all of these problems with scheduling! XD IDK, I'll have to try to work something out before the end of March.

Thank yoouuu. <3 Thankfully I won't have to walk tomorrow since my mom is gonna be home all day, but I hope the fact that I will have to be lifting boxes for 5 1/2 hours won't make it worse. I really need to find out my insurance info so I can go see a doctor.

And I agree with the person above me about seeing if you can get a set schedule. Although I know that's not always possible, still worth a try.
