The Going-Away Party.

So yeah, on the 4th of July Bonner threw me a Going-Away Party. I had made an invite list which included about 14 people, but of course some didn't show up because---well, it was the 4th of July, I'm sure they had other plans. Most of the people that didn't show up weren't particularly good friends of mine, anyway. The important people came: Sophie, Beth, Casey, Neil, etc. Anna didn't come, though. Oh well. I'll be seeing her tomorrow anyway. Presumably.
We pretty much just sat around outside under The Big Tent and talked. Ate pizza and hamburgers. Neil came rather late, but he came bearing a gift, so I forgave him. Even if the gift was a stuffed monkey with incredibly freaky bulgy eyes that scared Schuylar. Then it started to rain, so we went inside and watched Season 1 of Strangers With Candy, and "Blank Stare" Parts 1 and 2 from the second season. I still think it's so awesome they shot some of it in Willowbrook Mall.
Well, that's pretty much it. Going to Bonner's later, since she's leaving for Cape May on Saturday and it'll be the last time I see her for a year. And on Saturday it is New York City Time, because I must visit that place one more time before I leave. I fucking love NYC, man. I mean, Seattle's cool too, but it doesn't have the same feel as New York. Although I'm actually much more familiar with Seattle's geography than New York's, heh.
Oh, almost forgot to mention: teh presents. Bonner gave me this picture that her mom took of us walking to school on the last day. It's in a frame, and I probably should've just left it in the box since we're leaving in less than a week (WAAAHHH!), but instead it's sitting on my vanity. Beth gave me this photo album and pictures from backstage of The Laramie Project, and I stuck the pics from the The Thespian Festival in there---I WILL MISS THESE PEOPLE SO MUCH GODDAMMIT. Gen gave me a card, and I didn't notice until I got home that there was ten dollars stuck inside the envelope, heh. Samantha stopped by earlier today to give me her present, which was a card and another ten dollars. So if my mom gives me that thirty bucks I asked her for I will have $60 for New York tomorrow. Sweet.
