They're putting Studio 60 on hiatus a week before it was planned to. That means we only get one more episode until...well, actually, we don't know when it's coming back!

Studio 60 is SO on the road to getting cancelled. I am very, very, VERY fucking mad! GODDAMMIT!

Yeah, we are. Normally I wouldn't make such a big stink about a show getting cancelled, but this one is SO GOOD!!! I've had to live in a constant state of paranoia that they're going to cancel it, since the ratings have been mediocre, and now it seems like it's true...!

The only reason I'm not mad is because I saw it coming, like, a month ago. My personal opinion is that they put it on too late for anyone to stay up and watch it... there are probably so many people like you who have to watch it the next day and not enough who were watching it that night.

I also read somewhere that the bulk of the people watching the show were people who earned (slightly or not) higher than average paychecks, so I don't know if that has to do with anything.

Yeah, it has a crappy timeslot, but at this point any timeslot is crappy. All the slots they could've put it in have a hit show on it that would detract from ratings, so what're they supposed to do? Plus NBC doesn't seem to be paying attention to the fact that it's one of the top DVR'd shows in primetime and that it's consistently in the Top 10 in iTunes. Can't they stick commercials in the iTunes ones so they can get some money off of it?

Yeah, the "alpha consumers", lol. But did you see the ratings for "Friday Night Slaughter"? The worst yet. This does not bode well. Plus the media is having a circus with this, "It's cool to hate Studio 60! OMG" crap they're pulling.

True. I think the ratings really started to dwindle when they began piling all the relationships right on top of one another like a Studio 60 Lovefest Sandwich. I think if they had teased us longer with the whole Danny/Jordan thing it might have been better off.

I don't know, though. It is pretty disappointing.

Yeah, after "Monday" things just started going downhill. People got really creeped out by Danny, I think. The ratings were steady until then---mediocre, but steady.
