I finally managed to (mostly) fix the damn problem I've been having with the footage. I had to convert it from H.264 to AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) in order to work with the footage in Final Cut, because before it would have taken hours and hours and hours to render just 20 seconds of a clip. Now, it still has to render, but it only takes about a minute or two. Normally I convert any footage I use to DV-NTSC (like my Five Nerdy Friends vlogs), but I couldn't do that for this because it was HD footage and I couldn't lose the high quality.
So yay! I've finally actually started editing the fucking thing. Problem is a lot of the footage is, um, the same. Like, the same location. I guess the green screen was supposed to fix that, but since I can't do green screen I basically have three or four different shots of essentially the same thing. Which is kind of an issue, since a) it's a bit of a long song, and b) the director wants lots of quick cuts. But I have limited footage to work with here. Not sure what I'm gonna do about that. But I guess I'll worry about it later.
