First, I wound up watching The Darjeeling Limited, and -- I'm not sure what I think about it. I think it's one of those movies you have to watch a couple of times to really appreciate. It's also the first Wes Anderson film I've ever seen, actually, so yeah. Jesus, and I want to go into the film industry!
Second, as I mentioned a couple of entries ago, I've been reading my old stuff on here. I've just reached my first couple of months at SVA, and it's kind of weird seeing how worried about money I was. I mean, obviously I'm still worried about money (although in a very different way!), yet I still manage to buy things I don't really need sometimes. Back then, though, I was freaking out if I had to take another trip on the train, and I only let myself spend $20 a week. What the hell happened? I would say that I'm spending more money now because I work at a mall, in a store that sells Things I Like, but when I was living in New York I walked around the city constantly and didn't buy a single goddamn thing that wasn't essential -- at least until I got the job at Target and that student refund.
Somewhere along the line, I lost my discipline.
